Type: `bidding`

Version: 0.1.0

Status: Beta agreement — not final

Effective: 8 September 2026

Company: مزاد سماء الجوال للمزادات (Aljawal Auctions)

1. Scope

This agreement governs live-auction participation in the app. It complements `terms-of-use`. Per-lot variables (deposit, commission, VAT, payment and handover windows) are set on the auction card when one exists; otherwise the advertised defaults below apply.

Actual bidding is in the app only. The website is for browsing.

2. Watching and bidding

Streaming may be available as the platform allows. Placing a bid requires an authenticated account and sufficient funds under the deposit rules then in force.

3. Room rules

  • The asset owner may not bid on their own lot.
  • The current high bidder may not place a consecutive bid on the same lot.
  • A bid must be at least current price plus the lot’s minimum increment.
  • A paused auction rejects bids.
  • A short technical cooldown applies between bids by the same user on the same lot (currently about two seconds), plus additional rate limits.

4. Anti-snipe

A bid in the last advertised minutes (currently five) extends the clock by the advertised period (currently 30 seconds). A short grace window after the timer may apply per auction settings.

5. Deposit and wallet

On the first serious bid an entry deposit may be held. The currently advertised default is SAR 2,500, or the auction-card amount.

During beta, hold, release and forfeiture may be handled in whole or in part by operations if the automated path is incomplete. On-screen estimates (for example percentage bands) are not contractual unless they actually gate PlaceBid.

6. After winning

Winning creates a duty to pay and transfer title per the auction card (currently advertised: 48 hours to pay, 7 days to transfer). During beta, windows may be followed up by admin rather than closed by automatic jobs.

Withdrawing after the hammer does not by itself cancel the duty. Penalties or forfeiture, if applied, are an operational decision until automation is complete.

7. Shor lots

If the sale type is shor, `shor-sale` also applies. Reaching the shor price does not complete the sale by itself; the owner must accept within the deadline.
